How to Disable AI Overview on iPhone (iOS Safari & Chrome)
Practical, zero-bloat methods to hide Google AI Overviews on iOS devices.
Method 1: Add a "Clean Search" Web App to Home Screen
1. In Safari on your iPhone, navigate to https://www.google.com/?udm=14
2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Name it "Google (Clean)".
5. Now you have a clean search icon on your home screen that launches Google without AI Overviews.
Method 2: Use the "Web" Tab on Google Results
When searching on Google via Mobile Safari or Chrome on iOS, scroll the horizontal category bar right below the search box (All, Images, Videos, News) and tap Web. The page immediately drops the AI Overview box and displays only genuine websites.
